I’ve created a little Greasemonkey script that will remove the useless sidebar in Facebook. Turn your FB home page from this:
to this:
First, to accomplish this you will need 3 things: Firefox, Greasemonkey add-on, My Facebook Greasemonkey script.
If you haven’t used Greasemonkey before here is a little primer: How to use Greasemonkey.
To enable the sidebar just click on the monkey icon in the bottom right hand side of FF and reload the page, then you will be able to see the anoying sidebar in all its glory again.
This script is very, very basic, I will probably add to it as I see fit, but it is extremely simplified at the moment. Tweak as you wish, and if you want to explore more Facebook Greasemonkey scripts, or for a lot of other sites, you can find more here.
