Its like clockwork. Its like art.

Clayton Boyer is a wood worker, or a conductor conducting a symphony comprised entirely of the wood section.

He is also a clock designer and a bit of an engineering marvel in my opinion. His clocks are masterpieces that rival convention and inspire oohs and awes.

The designs vary from intricate to simple elegance. His designs are also up for grabs. He believes that most anybody can re-create one of his creations by following his plans which he sells through his website.

Refreshing art from old to new.

I don’t always know what it is about a piece that moves me, but I surely know it when it does. I aspire to self-greatness and in my journey I have come across many works of art that help me reach that next level.

Here is a case in point:

Leonardo da Vinci, was a genius. I can only begin to comprehend what that must be like by his drawings. I visit this site and learn something new every time. The Drawings of Leonardo da Vinci.

As for what makes a modern artist inspiring, well, that is even harder. There are so many that have a flair for the trends, and sort of ride the wave. Then there are others that make the waves and trends. Shinybinary is a good example of commercial meets visionary, besides, he has a passion for typography and I always enjoy the art of words/letters/fonts.

ZOMBIES!

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

I don’t know why, but I have a weird fascination with zombies. If you think about it, they are probably one of the worst monsters ever.
They’re slow.
They smell bad.
And They’re dumb.

I mean as far as being threatened by anything, I would rather face a zombie than, say a werewolf any day. The only thing zombies have going for them is mass in numbers.

Given that, I thought how better to illustrate the irony in their less than effective nature, than Zombie Turtle!
