For those of you lucky enough to own an iPhone, you already know that integration is one sweet aspect of having a hand held computer that doubles as your phone/mobile entertainment.
I for one am envious of this little aspect (although, not enough to switch to AT&T). There is a small light at the end of the tunnel, Android proves to be the answer for gadget-philes and geeks alike.
What I’m wondering is; where is the provider to match the demand, and technology that is coming out?
I predict that with the crumbling economy and the steady and increasing growth in the tech market, the big guns will need to make some radical changes in how they play the game. Here is how:
1. Charging for texting (it doesn’t even use any voice bandwidth to text) will be a thing of the past.
2. Partnerships with providers and web start-ups for exclusive features.
3. People don’t want to be boxed in to the integration that comes out of the box; some sort of app/widget interface for your favorite services.
4. Syncing, publishing, playing will be what drives the new paradigm
We have seen that the iPhone is a game changer, how do you think this cellular provider thing will go?
